The 29th International Battery Recycling Congress (ICBR) commenced on the 10th of September in Basel, Switzerland. With nearly 600 attendees, half of them first-timers, the conference has seen consistent growth in participation over the past few years, with strong representation from Europe and a notable rise in Chinese companies. The event featured keynote presentations on environmental policies and battery recycling initiatives, and discussions focused on the future of the battery market, new regulations, and global production trends. Workshops and a tour of a recycling plant are planned for the final day.
